Retreat and turn inwards
Yoga for the Winter months
November 30th 2pm - 4pm
yogahaven 26 Kew Road, Richmond TW9 2NA
£35
If you are feeling burnt out and fatigued during this time of year, it may be time for an energetic shift in your body. As the vivid red, orange and gold of Autumn gradually say their goodbyes, we find ourselves shifting into the coldest, darkest yet cosiest season of the year; Winter.
An opportunity to dive more deeply into our more subtle ways of being. It is time to reassess how we’re living and make small, simple changes to live in alignment with what this season calls for. Seasonal living can help us maintain vibrancy and health throughout the entire year, and as you’ll discover, tuning into the seasons is one of the most intuitive and natural practices we can adopt. Let us celebrate the darkness and remind ourselves to slow down. Winter is about building strength, especially around the joints, which supports injury prevention when we jump back into outdoor adventures in Spring and Summer.
This workshop will be a mix of flowing through a grounding vinyasa flow practice, slowing down with yin yoga and learning soothing breath techniques (an essential quality to cultivate during the colder months) The final section of this workshop is an immensely powerful meditation - Yoga Nidra or Yogic Sleep. As you rest in Savasana you will be guided to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, enabling you to restore the body, senses, and mind to its natural function and awaken a seventh sense that will allow you to see wholeness, tranquility and well-being.
It is open to all levels.

Awaken your awareness and learn how
to navigate the world with the power of
A Month of Meditation and Mindfulness course
A self paced, online course
*NEW COURSE STARTING NOVEMBER 2024*
With a gentle, heart centred and intuitive approach we will explore different ways that Mindfulness and Meditation can help us live in the moment, to manage stress, enhance our everyday wellbeing and improve health and happiness.
This one month course is a series of daily and weekly sessions to enable you to explore different meditation techniques, that help you connect to your innermost self, draw closer to your sense of purpose and live a life more aligned with your spiritual self.
Through daily meditation, mindfulness exercises and a guided yoga Nidra we will work towards establishing a stronger, clearer bond to our higher consciousness. Developing this deeper intuitive connection, leads us towards slowly releasing our sense of limitation and fear and magnetising a 'life more abundant' - abundant in the qualities that lead to a sense of real fulfilment - love, wisdom, purpose, joy.
Are you someone who wants to meditate daily, but gets easily distracted? Maybe, like me when I first started, you tried it once, couldn't focus so gave up? Or you regularly incorporate mindfulness into your day but have started taken it for granted and need a boost to awaken the benefits? Meditation does not have to be sitting, still, without any thoughts! We will learn walking meditation, candle gazing, listening to music and much more.
This month long workshop is designed to make meditation and mindfulness accessible to YOUR daily life.
Being guided and gently directed can help you become more disciplined in dedicating between five to twenty minutes of your day, everyday for a month to yourself. Forming a habit that I hope will allow you to receive the positive side effects of Meditation and Mindfulness.
What to expect from your month of Meditation and Mindfulness
The course is a full month throughout November 2024.
This will include mindfulness exercises and meditation techniques to do at your own pace, healing properties of things such as foods, plants, scents and crystals to align with the day, as well as suggested mudras and mantras to use while meditating.
Each morning I will send you a daily affirmation, a set of questions/tasks, suggested meditation technique and a short recorded yoga Nidra, all to complete at your own pace.
What will you learn?

*Meditation techniques such as walking meditation, candle gazing, body scan, breath awareness and sound meditation, to name a few.
*Mindfulness tasks to awaken your senses and help you appreciate the beauty around you.
*Gratitude mindfulness, where you will be guided to reinforce abundance of joy, good health, and prosperity in your life.
*Intention settings, encouraging confidence and positivity as you go about your day.
*A daily yoga Nidra to learn how to slow down the body and mind to a state between waking and sleeping to promote deep rest and relaxation. The stages of body scan and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health, enabling the body and mind to restore.
